Exhibition of Kazakh jewelry and applied art held in Astana

The exposition represented a collection of museum showpieces, in particular household utensils, .national ornamentals, antiques (silver plate sets). Note that the State Museum of gold and precious metals of the Republic of Kazakhstan is organized in accordance with the decision of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On additional measures on preservation of some objects of historical and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan people" of 1990. In its activity sphere the Museum is a research, cultural and mass institution - the main storage of items and complexes of jewelry art of Kazakhstan from the epoch of early nomads till ethnographic modernity. At the same time it is a research institution, the structure of which has departments of the Scythian and Saka archaeology, history of artistic metal working and applied arts of the Kazakhs.

It's worth noting that items represented in the Museum exposition reflect cultural peculiarities of the Kazakh people and are a unique part of Kazakh national culture. The exhibition lasts till January 27, 2014.
