Exhibition «Napoleon. Life, Legend» opened in Astana
ASTANA. December 19. KAZINFORM Residents and guests of Astana will have an opportunity to familiarize with life and creative work of the French politician, commander and emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. Today the Palace of Independence has hosted a solemn opening of the exhibition "Napoleon. Life, Legend" with the participation of Astana city akim Imangali Tasmagambetov. This exhibition is special and symbolic - it has become a final event of the cross Season of France in Kazakhstan.
"Astana residents and guests of the city have got a rare opportunity to assess it. We are strongly convinced that this exposition represented in one of Astana's best halls will draw a response and interest among residents and guests of our city; but the most important is that it contributes a lot to further rapprochement of our peoples and worthily ends the year of France in Kazakhstan", - said Astana city akim opening the exhibition.
It's worth noting that at this exhibition about 300 showpieces are represented for the first time together, including art masterpieces, manuscripts and furniture of Napoleon epoch. All this is done in order to tell about bright creative, scientific and political life of the great commander, and about major changes of civil society under Napoleon.
The exposition will be divided into 9 sections: "Born in Ajaccio, officer of royal troops", "French revolution", "Napoleon Bonaparte, Revolution general", "The Head of the state", "Peacemaker and reformer", "Emperor family", "Commander", "Exile and death", and "The birth of the legend". Each of them will tell Astana residents about the spirit and the time of the French politician Napoleon Bonaparte.
The exhibition is organized by the Union of National Museums and the Grand Palais, as well as Napoleon Fund at the initiative of the French Embassy in Kazakhstan and supported by Astana city akimat.
Recall that the exhibition will last through February 23, 2014.
