Exhibition dedicated to 20th anniversary of fall of Berlin wall opened in Ust-Kamenogorsk
-KAMENOGORSK. October 1. KAZINFORM /Lyudmila Malko/ Ambassador-at-large of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dieter Boaden and Attaché of the German Embassy in Kazakhstan Peter Schmitt took part in an exhibition in Ust-Kamenogorsk dedicated to the 20th anniversary of fall of the Berlin wall.
The presentation took place in an exhibit hall of the A.S. Pushkin regional library within the events dedicated to the Year of Kazakhstan in Germany.
Besides the German guests workers of the German Embassy, representatives of the regional authority and intelligentsia, heads of the German language center (partners of Goethe Institute in Almaty), representatives of the German Information Center of the regional library also participated in the event.
Peter Schmitt in his opening speech named the 'fall of the Berlin wall a world revolution'.
He also noted that 'human values have common roots' and underlined that Kazakhstan and Germany have good partner relations.
