Ex-head of Department of energy and housing-public utilities of Karaganda rgn could be sentenced to 5 years

According to the representative of the region's internal affairs department Zhanatai Sembekov, a final charge was brought against Uteshev and he could be imprisoned for up to five years.

As reported earlier, "former head of the department of energy and housing-public utilities of Karaganda region Yerlan Uteshev, having been accused of a fatal road traffic accident commitment, was sent into a pretrial detention center," deputy Prosecutor of Karaganda region Alexander Ogai informed at the briefing.

A road traffic accident occurred on February 16 in Karaganda.

A driver of BMW car crossed into the oncoming lane and crashed into Opel and Toyota Corolla. Following the road accident, a woman, born in 1960 (driver of Toyota) was hospitalized with various injuries. Later she died in the hospital.

The drivers of the other two cars were also admitted to a hospital.
