Ex-Chairperson of Civil Affairs Agency Anar Zhailganova passed away
Former Chairperson of the Agency for Civil Affairs of Kazakhstan Anar Zhailganova passed away at the age of 55, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The staff of the Civil Affairs Agency expresses its deepest condolences to the family and relatives of Anar Zhailganova, a statement from the Agency reads.
Born in 1969 in Semipalatinsk, Anar Zhailganova was a graduate of the Al-Farabi Kazakh State University.
Anar Zhailganova was the Chairperson of the Civil Affairs Agency from June 2019 to January 2022.
She began her career as a junior research fellow at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of Kazakhstan.
In different years she worked as a judge of the South Kazakhstan Regional Court, then as chief of a division at the Ministry of Justice and at the President’s Executive Office.
In September 2000, she was appointed the Advisor to the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan, and in 2004 she became the Chairperson of the Supreme Court.
On March 13, 2008, by a decree of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament, she was named the member of the Constitutional Council of Kazakhstan.
In January 2016, she joined the Nur Otan Political Party, and in March 2016, she was elected Majilis Deputy from Nur Otan Party.
