European Commissioner Olli Rehn considers Kazakh President an important global player

BRUSSELS. June 1. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev is an important global player. This is proved by the latest achievements of Kazakhstan in settling international and regional problems. European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs Olli Rehn has said at the meeting with Kazakh Ambassador Yerik Utembayev.
The Commissioner appraised the role of Kazakhstan on the international arena, particularly the initiatives of President N. Nazarbayev. Besides, he praised the election of Kazakhstan to the post of chairman in the Organization for security and Cooperation in Europe this year. O. Rehn noted the growing role of Kazakhstan in Central Asian region in tackling international problems.
