Eurasian Union to be the next step in integration process - Putin
ASTANA. June 7. KAZINFORM The next step in the integration process should be the establishment of the Eurasian Union, Russian President Vladimir Putin said after meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev on Thursday in Astana.
"This step requires additional attention, extra effort on both sides. But we are going to pass this way completely as planned," Putin said.
In addition, the Russian President said that as a result of removal of administrative barriers and the integration process trade between the two countries has increased. "You all know very well and I want to emphasize once again that one of the initiators of these processes has been the President of Kazakhstan and the result has been achieved," Putin noted.
The Russian President said that only through the removal of administrative barriers and establishment of the Single Economic Space Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus have achieved GDP growth by several percentage points.
"We will continue to move in this direction," the Head of the Russian Federation concluded.
