"The observer status will allow EEC representatives to participate in the negotiations at the Conference, Council and other working bodies of the UNCTAD, to access information of the Organization and to build connections with other organizations at the UNCTAD platform," EEC Minister of Trade Andrey Slepnev commented.

It is reported that the new format of cooperation organizations provides more opportunities for the Commission, including the implementation of the program of cooperation for 2013-2015 between EEC and UNCTAD.
