EurAsEC Interstate Council restricted-attendance meeting started in Moscow

   MOSCOW. March 19. KAZINFORM The restricted-attendance meeting of the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community EurAsEC (the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council with participation of the Presidents) has just started in Moscow.

Delivering an opening address Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev noted, the meeting is devoted to the Eurasian integration processes. The key issue on the agenda is the execution of the agreements of the EurAsEC Interstate Council meeting as of December 19, 2011 on the EurAsEC reorganization.

He recalled, "When discussions on this issue began, there were opinions to wind up the EurAsEC." At the same time, he said the summiteers agreed that decisions "should be taken in a civilised way". Thus, the Eurasian Economic Commission has started working in February, the Russian leader added.

Presidents of the EurAsEC member states, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, and observer states - Presidents of Armenia and Ukraine, acting President of Moldova are taking part in it.
