EU impressed by success of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in OSCE - Gunnar Wiegand
BRUSSELS. June 19. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ We are impressed by Kazakhstan's provision of the chairmanship in the OSCE, especially at this difficult time.
Head of the Directorate -General for External Relations of the European Commission Gunnar Wiegand has made it public at the 10th session of the Cooperation Committee "Kazakhstan - European Union" on June 18.
According to him, the EU closely cooperates with Kazakhstan as the OSCE chair country, especially in the issue of stabilization of the situation in Kyrgyzstan. "We constantly discuss this problem and we are satisfied with the results of numerous contacts with the Kazakh side", G.Wiegand said.
Following results of the session he noted that the OSCE estimates Kazakhstan's presidency in the OSCE as professional, well-directed and effective, and the Kazakh side's activity on solution of complex issues within the framework of the Organization's operations approves it.
Head of the Directorate -General for External Relations of the European Commission noted that the relations between Kazakhstan and the EU strengthen and deepen and it allows to develop interaction in new fields of cooperation.
