EU High Representative expects breakthrough at new round of talks on Iranian nuclear issue in Almaty

BRUSSELS. April 4. KAZINFORM - The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton is counting on a new round of negotiations on the Iranian nuclear issue in Almaty.

This has been stated in the statement of Ashton after the meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, the press service of the European official informs.

"I hope that the meeting in Almaty will be successful. I really hope that this time Iran will carefully consider the proposal submitted by us and will give its answer, " said Ashton.

We remind that the talks in the format of "E3/EU plus 3" in Almaty on 26-27 February on the Iranian nuclear program has completed with the agreement between the parties for further discussions at the expert level in Istanbul on March 18 this year and the next round of high-level talks in Almaty on April 5-6.

As the head of the Central Communications Office Altai Abibullayev says, for its part Kazakhstan will make every effort to create an environment conducive to fruitful negotiations.
