EU held seminar on human rights for civil society of Kazakhstan

ASTANA. July 1. KAZINFORM /Galimzhan Khasenov/ The European Union accomplished seminar on human rights for representatives of the civil society, academic and non-governmental organizations of Kazakhstan.

The seminar consisted of to plenary sessions, where representatives of state bodies of Kazakhstan, the European Union and the European Commission took part. Other two sessions were devoted to the legislative regulation of the institute of administrative responsibility and development and practical application of alternatives to imprisonment and criminal prosecution.

The seminar was organized by the European Commission and the Kazakh Foreign Ministry. Over 65 participants - experts on human rights, lawyers, representatives of academic circles, non-governmental organizations and other spheres of the civil society of Kazakhstan and European countries, representatives of international organizations and structures of the European Union took part in the event.
