EU foreign ministers discuss problems of Middle East and North Africa in Poland

KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ A two-day informal meeting of foreign ministers of 27 member states of the European Union in Gymnich Format has started in Sopot, Poland, on September 2. The matters of the Middle East and North Africa as well as EU relations with strategic partners are being discussed at the meeting; the press service of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council reports.
The heads of the European foreign ministries plan to exchange opinions on the issue regarding declaration of independence of the State of Palestine on the eve of the September session of the UN General Assembly.
Moreover, the ministries will discuss support of democratic reforms in North Africa and the Middle East, including in the light of the last events in Libya and Syria, relations development with eastern neighbors, including Ukraine and Belarus as well as strengthening ties with India and Brazil.
