EU-Central Asia ministerial conference held in Brussels

BRUSSELS. April 28. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Kazakh Secretary of State and Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev has taken part in the ministerial meeting in the format of "European Union - Central Asia" today.

According to Chairman of the International Information Committee of the Kazakh Foreign Affairs Ministry Roman Vassilenko, the issues of interaction between the EU, OSCE and UN as well as the situation in Kyrgyzstan were discussed. It was noted that the international community was grateful to Kazakhstan for its efforts on stabilization of the situation in Kyrgyzstan.

Besides, the issues of Kazakhstan's joining the World Trade Organization and further economic cooperation with the EU were considered. The signing of the agreements with Italy in France to the total amount of USD 15 billion last year was called a confirmation that the European companies were interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan, which created favorable climate for investments.
