EU allocates €2.4 mln to Kazakhstan within ‘Justice for children’ program
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The European Union has allocated €2.4 million to Kazakhstan to improve justice for children and children's protection system, said Aurelia Bouchez, head of the European Union to the Republic of Kazakhstan, at today's conference "Development of child-friendly justice in the Republic of Kazakhstan" dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
"I am very pleased to announce launching of "Justice for children" program. It is a joint project of UNICEF and the EU. I look forward to its implementation," said Aurelia Bouchez. According to her words, the European Union has allocated €2.4 million to implement the program in Kazakhstan. The program will be realized in full partnership with the Government of Kazakhstan in East Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda and Mangystau regions. Aurelia Bouchez noted that the program is aimed at improving the justice system for children and further implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in our country.
