Estonia to support Kazakhstan in talks on WTO accession, President

TALLINN. April 20. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ "Estonia will support Kazakhstan in negotiations on accession to the World Trade Organization," Estonian President Thomas Hendrik Ilves told at a press conference folowiing the meeting with Kazakh leader Nursultan Nazarbayev at the Kadriorg Palace.

"Kazakhstan plays an important role in Central Asia both in maintaining stability and development of the region at large. We highly appreciate Kazakhstan's efforts as the OSCE Chairman-in-Office in 2010," T. Ilves said.

He highlighted the fruitful work of Kazakhstan in the SCO and as a chair of the OIC. He announced Estonia's all-round support to Kazakhstan in updating an agreement on cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union.
