Environmental specialists arrive at Proton crash site at 2.p.m. - Kazakhstan Ecology Ministry
ASTANA. July 2. KAZINFORM - Environmentalists from Kyzylorda at 2 p.m. will arrive at the place where the missile "Proton" has fallen down. This has been announced by the Minister of Environment Kapparov to the reporters at a meeting of the Government.
The Minister noted that the staff of the regional Department of Environmental Protection will go to the crash site of "Proton" and will begin working on the emergency situation.
Responding to questions from journalists, the minister has expressed great concern over the possibility of poisoning people with heptyl.
As explained during the meeting, the chairman of Space Agency T. Musabaev, when falling to the ground a rocket fuel - heptyl - ignites and burns almost completely. On combustion, it forms less toxic chemicals called nitric oxide.
