ENRC to assist in KZT 1.6 bln projects in Pavlodar
PAVLODAR. June 22. KAZINFORM /Vera Livintsova/ - The Eurasian National Resources Corporation is planning to assist in implementation of 22 social projects to the amount of KZT 1.67 billion in Pavlodar region. As earlier reported, Pavlodar region akim Bakhytzhan Sagintayev and ENRC President Felix Vulis signed a Memorandum on Mutual Cooperation.
Commenting on the signed document Alexander Mashkevich, the company stockholder, noted: "The world is experiencing a difficult economic situation. The President of Kazakhstan ordered to ensure social support of the people. We are working in partnership with the region akim on construction of the electrolytic plant. There may be a few countries constructing such an industrial enterprise. Not a single investment project conducted by the ERCN has been frozen. Not a single employee has been fired. Our largest enterprises are concentrated in Pavlodar region. Therefore Pavlodar region is special to us and it is important for us to support the people who work for these enterprises. We are thankful to the Pavlodar akimat for the immense help in organizational and legal issues.
The ENRC fulfills its social commitments. At present the Kazakhstan Aluminum JSC, an affiliate of the Corporation, is completing construction of the 125-apartment building and a kindergarten. The Aksu Ferroalloy Plant is constructing a 60-apartment building. Euroasian Energy Corporation is building private cottages. We pay a lot of attention to culture and sport, pensioners and the vulnerable groups of population.»
Despite the crisis and economic hardship the Pavlodar region is developing successfully and industry is gaining speed, Alexander Mshkavich said.
