Enhancing monitoring of labour migration processes in Kazakhstan
ASTANA. KAZINFORM A seminar on enhancing the monitoring of labour migration processes in Kazakhstan to be held today in Astana is organized by the OSCE Centre in Astana, Office of the Coordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities, Committee of Labour, Social Protection and Migration of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Health and Social Development and International Organization for Migration.
Some 20 representatives of state bodies, non-governmental and international organizations are to take part in a one-day seminar on the current recruitment and employment procedures of foreign nationals in Kazakhstan. It also focuses on an overview of demand and supply-driven systems of labour migration, examples of good practices in monitoring of migration processes, data collection and exchange as well as co-operation and interaction between different stakeholders.
The seminar is to be led by experts from United Kingdom, Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities and International Organization for Migration. It is part of the Centre's activities to promote better and efficient labour migration management practices in Kazakhstan, the OSCE Centre in Astana said.
