Enabling GrEEEn Cities: A sustainable urban future in Southeast Asia

MANILA. KAZINFORM This conference aims to present the green cities approach developed under the regional capacity development technical assistance on Green Cities--A Sustainable Urban Future in Southeast Asia and to launch the green city action plans and urban management partnerships for selected cities to develop competitive and resilient cities.

It will take place on May 13-14.

The objectives of the conference are to share the operational framework for secondary cities in Southeast Asia; launch Urban management partnerships for institutional strengthening through peer-to-peer learning involving the private sector, academe, and stakeholders; facilitate a "market place" for companies to present innovative examples for "green" solutions with low-carbon technology and financing; exchange knowledge on global practice on greening cities. High-level government officials, CEOs, other decision makers in public and private sector, national and urban agencies in Asia, Asian Cities and their network organizations, international organizations, academia, ADB staff and consultants are expected to attend the event, the ADB's website reads.
