Elena Rybakina withdraws from WTA 500 tournament in Germany

Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina will not compete in the WTA 500 tournament in Bad Homburg, Germany, Qazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
According to the tournament organizers, the world No. 2 has withdrawn from the event, which is scheduled to take place from June 21 to June 27. The preliminary reason for her withdrawal is reported to be discomfort in her right thigh.
Following Rybakina’s withdrawal, Polish tennis player Iga Świątek has become the tournament’s top seed.
Wild cards for the tournament have also been awarded to Katie Boulter, Eva Lys, Alexandra Eala, and Venus Williams.
Earlier, Qazinform reported Kazakhstan had stormed into the Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships finals.
