Elena Rybakina storms into 2026 Italian Open quarterfinals

Kazakhstani tennis player Elena Rybakina, currently ranked No. 2 in the WTA rankings, has advanced to the women's singles quarterfinals at the Italian Open in Rome, Qazinform News Agency reports citing Sports.kz.
By reaching this stage, she has already secured 150,000 euro in prize money and 215 ranking points.
On her way to the WTA 1000 tournament quarterfinals, Elena Rybakina defeated Greece’s Maria Sakkari (ranked 47th), the Philippines’ Alexandra Eala (42nd), and Czech player Karolína Plíšková (130th).
This year’s Internazionali BNL d'Italia (also known as the Italian Open) has a prize pool of 7,228,080 euro. The singles champion will earn 1,055,285 euro and collect 1,000 ranking points.
