Elections of rural governors to be held by September - 1st Deputy PM of Kazakhstan
ALMATY. March 27. KAZINFORM "KZT 14 billion have been allocated within regions' development program. We have already implemented 54 projects. The program was focused on economic growth," First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development of the Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Sagintayev has informed today during the meeting of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev with the governors of the southern regions in Almaty.
"As part of the Interdepartmental Commission for Regional Policy in the Government funds were allocated for the development of local authorities through the implementation of infrastructure projects. The distinctive feature of the project is that the funding decision will be made at the gathering of the population," said B.Sagintayev.
"Moreover the decision on the approval of the draft on local self-government was adopted yesterday at the Governmental session; we are going to make it by April 1, so that to hold the elections of rural governors by September per your instructions," the First Deputy Prime Minister reported.
