Eight people dead in Virginia shooting: report

WASHINGTON. January 20. KAZINFORM. Eight people were killed in the shooting spree in U.S. state of Virginia on Tuesday, local media reported; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
Apart from the fatalities, the report quoted law enforcement officers as saying several more were injured.
A lone gunman is believed to be responsible for the shooting in Appomattox. Law enforcement agencies have launched a massive manhunt for him.
Earlier, Sergeant Thomas Molnar, a spokesman for the Virginia State police, said the shooting caused "several fatalities"; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
