EEC approves action plan on Kyrgyzstan accession to Customs Union

MOSCOW. September 19. KAZINFORM The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved the action plan on Kyrgyzstan's entry to the Customs Union. The decision was taken at the commission's meeting on 18 September, BelTA has learnt.

Participants of the meeting also approved a taskforce to deal with Kyrgyzstan's participation in the Customs Union.

Besides, one more taskforce was upheld to codify international agreements making part of the legal framework of the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space. The taskforce will be led by ECC Integration and Macroeconomics Minister Tatiana Valovaya.

The meeting touched upon a number of issues concerning technical regulations. In particular, there was approved a new wording of the list of standards to stay compliant with the requirements of the Customs Union technical regulation, Road Safety and a list of standards containing research and measurement methods including sample selection procedure.

The EEC ratified amendments to the provision on the advisory technical regulation committee, application of hygiene, veterinary and phytosanitary measures.
