Education Ministry reduces taxes for Nazarbayev University
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Ministry of Education and Science has worked out a bill to facilitate the use of tax remissions for independent educational organizations - Nazarbayev University and Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, this has been announced by Vice-Minister of Education and Science Tahir Balykbayev during the presentation of the draft law "On introducing amendments and addenda to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the activities of autonomous educational organizations."
"The bill has two purposes. Firstly, it aims at the improvement of academic governance of autonomous organizations of education. Secondly, the bill provides for the organization of the activities of the University Innovation Cluster", said T. Balykbayev. According to him, the proposed amendments will facilitate the use of tax emissions provided for independent educational institutions. Vice-Minister also explained that the autonomous organizations of education - Nazarbayev University and Nazarbayev intellectual schools are the pilot projects. Therefore, the experience gained during the implementation of these projects will be used in subsequent stages of the country's education system development.
