Economy growth in Kazakhstan made 5% in 2012

ASTANA. February 8. KAZINFORM "On preliminary data, growth of economy in Kazakhstan made five percent," Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of Kazakhstan Yerbolat Dossayev informed today during an enlarged bard meeting of the authority.

According to the Minister, an important factor of the economy's growth was consumer's demand increase.

Notwithstanding negative tendencies in the world economy, a stable foreign demand and a favorable business climate of raw material prices provided export increase by 6.3 per cent for 11 months of 2012.

In addition, due to the domestic demand import increased by 21.9 percent for 11 months of 2012.

In general, the foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan amounted to USD 125.2 billion, and has increasd by 10.9 percent over 11 months. A trade surplus was USD 44.6 billion.
