According to the Kazakhstan National Data Center, the quake occurred on August 20 at 00:08 am Astana time (August 19 at 19:08 GMT).
The coordinates of the epicenter are 41.67° north latitude and 75.51° east longitude.
The quake’s energy class was 9.8.
