Dutch companies to present their best technologies at EXPO-2017

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The delegation of Kazakhstan headed by Commissioner of the EXPO-2017, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Rapil Zhoshybayev visited the Netherlands on March 9.

R. Zhoshybayev took part in the roundtable with the participation of big Dutch companies like Shell, Philips, DSM and others that familiarized with the present stage of preparation for holding the EXPO-2017 and discussed the opportunities of participation in the exhibition, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan informs.

R. Zhoshybayev noted the importance of the participation of the Netherlands in the EXPO-2017 as a major investor in the economy of Kazakhstan and one of the global leaders in development and production of high-tech equipment in the sphere of renewable energy sources.

The representatives of the business communities of the Netherlands expressed their readiness to actively participate in organization of the EXPO-2017 and present their best technologies.

During the visit, the EXPO Commissioner held the negotiations with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Simon Smits. The sides noted a high level trade and economic cooperation including the sphere of development of the green economy and new technologies. The Kazakhstani diplomat informed his interlocutor about the process of preparation for the EXPO and gave an invitation addressed to Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte.

In turn, S. Smits noted that the theme of the EXPO-2017 presented a special interest for the Netherlands and expressed readiness to support Dutch companies willing to present their projects in Astana in 2017.
