Draft Eurasian Economic Union Treaty ready by 1 May 2014
MINSK. November 30. KAZINFORM The draft Eurasian Economic Union Treaty is supposed to be ready by 1 May 2014, Justice Minister of Belarus Oleg Slizhevsky told media on 29 November, BelTA has learnt.
"The work on the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty is in full swing. The draft document should be ready by 1 May 2014," the minister said.
According to Oleg Slizhevsky, the document will include norms that are already in place in the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space. "These norms are fully operational and will be codified within the agreement. It is also expected that the document will envisage a judicial body that will settle disputes in the Eurasian Economic Union," the minister said.
The minister stressed that the process of preparing the document includes numerous consultations between representatives of the government bodies of the Customs Troika, BelTA reports.
