Draft amendments to Customs Union veterinary regulations to be put to public debate

MOSCOW. January 25. KAZINFORM The draft amendments to the single veterinary requirements of the Customs Union will be put to public debate. This decision was taken at the videoconference call meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission's working group on veterinary and sanitary measures, BelTA learnt from the EEC press service.

In accordance with the plan of action to adjust the legal framework of the Customs Union and Single Economic Space member states to the multilateral trading system, the working group considered the amendments to the regulation on the uniform system of joint inspections of sites and sampling of goods (products) subject to veterinary control. A decision was taken to publish the proposed changes to this regulation and to the forms of uniform veterinary certificates for the products imported to the Customs Union from third countries on the EEC website for public debates, BelTA informs.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Director of the Department for Sanitary, Phytosanitary and Veterinary Measures of the Eurasian Economic Commission Oleg Arnautov. Attending the meeting was Vice Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Gulmira Isayeva, chief veterinary inspectors of the Customs Union members states, representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Agriculture Ministry, the Ministry of Economic development of Russia, and Rosselkhoznadzor.
