Draft agreement on sharing financial information between Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan approved

MINSK. KAZINFORM - Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has approved the draft agreement on sharing financial information between Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, BelTA learned from the Russian Federation government website.

The website reads that the agreement on sharing information, including confidential information, in the financial sphere for the sake of creating conditions for free capital flow on financial markets is designed to shape the legal base for the effective exchange of information between authorized agencies of the states parties to the agreement in matters concerning the regulation and development of the banking industry, the currency market, the insurance market, the securities market, and other financial instruments, BelTA reports.

The agreement stipulates the procedures for sharing, accessing, and storing acquired confidential data, and for arranging meetings and consultations for the sake of overseeing the operation of transboundary organizations. The agreement also regulates the availability of the information that characterizes the degree of integration of the financial markets via official websites.
