Draft agreement on methodology of formation forecasting oil & gas balances in EEU approved

The document has been designed for the implementation of Articles 80 and 104 of the EEU treaty. Tayir Mansurov, member of the board (minister) for energy and infrastructure under the EEC, said that "the adoption of the agreement will ensure harmonization of approaches of the EEU member-states to develop a national energy balance and forecast balance sheets of the Union on the basis of a unified methodology." The draft agreement has to be approved by the competent authorities of the parties before July 1, 2015. In addition, the roundtable has held an in-depth discussion of the project called "Principal directions of the EEU economic development". EEC board members (ministers) noted the need to review the draft document at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on May 8.
