Draft agreement on international search for people coordinated
ST. PETERSBURG. July 17. KAZINFORM /Yelena Myagkova/ CIS experts have coordinated draft agreement on international search for people and an agreement on formation and activities of joint investigation groups of the CIS member states; Kazinform reports.
Development of the documents is envisaged by the Interstate Program of Joint Measures to Fight Crime for 2008-2010.
Under the draft agreement the interested agencies of the CIS member states will carry out inter-state search inquiries, coordinate their actions, exchange investigation, supplement and other information about the wanted people, share their experience, methodological recommendations and regulations, provide assistance in personnel training, re-training and advanced training.
The interstate search list will include persons hiding from inquiry, investigation bodies and court, those eluding the execution of criminal and civil charges, missing people, and people unable to provide information about them due to a disease.
According to the Draft Agreement the joint investigation groups will be created to streamline investigation of crimes committed on the territory of two and more states. The document outlines major goals and duties of such groups.
