ASTANA. January 12. KAZINFORM /Gilnara Zhandagulova/ Differentiated tariffs for electricity allowed consumers to save about KZT 3 bln. Chairman of the Agency of Kazakhstan on Regulation of Natural Monopolies Nurlan Aldabergenov made it public at the session of the Agency on Wednesday.
In particular, due to introduction of differentiated tariffs for electricity about 248 kWH of electricity was saved in the country in a year. This makes 2.3% of the total use of electricity by the population. Fuel economy made about 62 thousand tons of coal, reduction of pollutant emissions - cinders - about 27 thousand tons.
