Development of Satpayev oilfield requires $ 9 bln - Kabyldin

ASTANA. April 16. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Development of the Satpayev oilfield requires about USD 9 billion of capital expenditures. President of KazMunaiGaz JSC Kairgeldy Kabyldin said in an interview to journalists.
"According to our forecast it is needed about USD 9 billion to extract 250 million tons of oil in view of the construction of wells, infrastructure," Kabyldin noted.
Exploration works will be financed by the Indian side.
Geological and seismic work will be conducted this year. Drilling of the first exploration well will begin next year.
