Development of coop between Kazakhstan and NATO discussed in Senate

ASTANA. September 11. KAZINFORM Issues of further development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the NATO have been discussed today in the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament at the meeting of Deputy Rashit Akhmetov with NATO Secretary General Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia Robert F. Simmons, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Senate.

"Participation of the Kazakh deputies in the work of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly promotes development of the interparliamentary dialogue on topical issues and deepening of interaction between the NATO partner countries", R.Akhmetov said.

R.Simmons highly appraised the level of cooperation in all directions and spoke for further interaction within such international organizations as the OSCE and the SCO.

The Diplomat also complimented the efforts of Kazakhstan in the process of development and reconstruction of Afghanistan and stressed the important role of our country in provision of security in Central Asia.
