Deputy Governor of Kazakh National Bank paid a visit to Malaysia
ASTANA-KUALA LUMPUR. KAZINFORM - On June 16-17, 2014, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Nurlan Kussainov paid a working visit to Malaysia, the Kazakh MFA's press service reports.
In Kuala Lumpur N.Kussainov met with Deputy Governor of the Bank Negara Malaysia Mrs. Nor Shamsiah Yunus, and Executive Directors of the Malaysian State investment holding Khazanah Nasional Berhad Mr. Ahmad Zulqarnain Onn and Mr. Ahmad Farouk Mohammed.
In the course of the meetings N.Kussainov discussed with the leadership of the Bank Negara Malaysia and Khazanah Nasional Berhad the prospects of cooperation in various spheres, including those identified during the official visit of Prime Minister of Malaysia H.E. Mr. Najib Razak to Kazakhstan on May 22-24, 2014. A special attention was given to such promising directions as the establishment of partnership between sovereign national funds of Kazakhstan and Malaysia, interaction in the sphere of Islamic finances, as well as development of the Regional Financial Centre of Almaty City.
In conclusion of talks the parties agreed to maintain regular working contacts as to develop specific forms of the Kazakhstan-Malaysian cooperation in the above-mentioned fields.
