Denis Ten to perform at ISU Team Trophy in Japan
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstani sportsman Denis Ten prepares for a trip to Japan to participate in the ISU Team Trophy scheduled to be held in Tokyo on April 16-19.
The organizers of the World Team Trophy sent an invitation to Denis despite the regulation of the tournaments that provides for participation of teams only.
"First time when I participated in this event was in 2013 and the second invitation means that the organizers of the event are interested in my participation and they like my style of skating. It is a good thing for my fans in Japan, moreover I did not take part in any ice shows recently and just was just preparing for the contests," D. Ten noted.
"Presently, I am the only one to score points for Kazakhstan, and as a result of the last season our country joined the top ten world countries in terms of figure skating. I am also glad that young Kazakhstani become more interested in figure skating, it means we will have even bigger success in this sport soon," the figure skater added.
