Denis Shipp named as new judge of Kazakh Supreme Court

Denis Shipp was elected as the new judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Senate's plenary session on October 3, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Denis Shipp was born on February 27, 1968. He holds a degree in Law from the Omsk State University.

In 1994, he worked in the Customs Administration and the Department of Financial Police in the North Kazakhstan region.

Later, in 2003, he held the position of judge at the court of Petropavlovsk and served as the Chairman of the Specialized Financial Court of Almaty.

In 2012, he held a position of the Chairman of the Appellate Judicial Collegium for Civil and Administrative Cases of the Kostanay regional court.

In December 2015 he took up the post of the judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In June 2021 he was appointed the Chairman of Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

It should be noted that Denis Shipp was relieved of his duties as the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council this September.
