Deeper cooperation in tourism industry eyed by Turkic Council member states in Istanbul
ISTANBUL. December 24. KAZINFORM Reps of the Tourism Industry Committee under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan took part in the session of the work group for tourism of the Turkic Council at its headquarters in Istanbul.
The session brought together experts of the tourism industry from the Turkic Council member countries - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
The multilateral meeting concentrated on the creation of a single tour package "Silk Road", better education for government officials responsible for the tourism industry, the upcoming tourism festival "The World Nomad Games" in 2014, promotion of the cultural heritage of the Turkic Council member states and other issues in the sphere of tourism and culture. The need for closer cooperation between tour operators and travel agencies was noted by the participants.
Kazakhstan's delegation informed those present of tourist potential of the country, preparations for the EXPO-2017 event in Astana and new stage in the development of simplified visa procedures.
Within the session the sides discussed and agreed joint tourism projects, and deepening of partnership between travel agencies and tour operators of the Turkic Council member countries.
