Debates mean competitive environment in Parliament - Nigmatulin

ASTANA. June 29. KAZINFORM Parliamentary debates are an indication that the highest legislative body has formed a competitive environment, Chairman of the Majilis Nurlan Nigmatulin said speaking at a Friday joint session of the Kazakh Parliament's Chambers.

"Of course, in a multi-party parliament a lot of issues is openly discussed, different opinions are expressed, bills are hotly debated. This, above all, shows that our members of Parliament have the knowledge, experience and human resources. At the same time, it is an indication that the highest legislative body has formed a competitive environment," said N.Nigmatulin.

The Speaker recalled the Parliament had more than 70 bills during the last session, of which 39 were approved by the Majilis and sent to the Senate. 22 laws were adopted by the Parliament, signed by the President of Kazakhstan and entered into force.
