Days of Kazakhstan cinema held in Georgia
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - June 17 - 20 for the first time in the history of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Georgia Tbilisi hosted the Days of Kazakhstan cinema.
During the event, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Georgia E. Ertysbayev met with the Minister of Culture and architectural monuments of Georgia G. Odisharia. The round table G.Odishariya noted significance of the Days of Kazakh cinema in Georgia for the two countries' cooperation in the cultural sphere, and highlighted the achievements of Kazakhstan cinema for years of independence.
The event has been organized with the assistance of "Kazakhfilm", the Ministry of Culture and protection of architectural monuments of Georgia and the Georgian National Film Center.
The Georgian audience was presented four feature films shot in recent years in Kazakhstan.
In particular, the spectators watched "Zhauzhurek Myn Bala", "Shal", "Liquidator" and "Sky of My Childhood" which tells the story of the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Kazakhfilm delegation arrived in Tbilisi to partake in the event. The delegation consisted of the chief editor of the Kazakhfilm studio D.Kosymbekov, leading actor in "Shal" movie E.Toguzakov, and A. Tolepov, who played the leading role in "Zhauzhurek Myn Bala".
In addition, the event was timed to the 100th jubilee of the great Kazakh producer and actor Sh.Aimanov.
