Days of CIS Youth open in Moscow

MOSCOW. July 18. KAZINFORM The Days of CIS Youth opened in Moscow on 17 July. Taking part in the forum are over 100 activists of public associations, members of youth parliaments, student unions and youth movements from Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Georgia, South Ossetia and Abkhazia, BelTA has learnt.

The forum is organized by the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund, the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) and the Public Chamber of Russia. They rented a motor ship and arranged a cruise down the Moscow River for youth leaders. 

The participants of the forum will hold meetings, press conferences, roundtable sessions in the Federation Council, the State Duma, the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation, Rossotrudnichestvo, and the Public Chamber. After that they will go to cultural and educational center Etnomir in Kaluga Oblast where they will take part in art contests, sports events, concerts and theatrical performances. 

An international youth public association "Commonwealth" is to be established during the forum. The association aims to become a permanent union of youth leaders.
