The PPP center said that this agreement marks a new stage of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the ADB aimed at accelerating digitalization and introduction of renewable energy sources in the country.

The project will establish one of the first Data Centers in the region to be powered solely by renewable energy, which will significantly reduce the country's carbon footprint and increase its energy independence.

Under the agreement, the ADB will provide support for the preparation of a feasibility study (FS), as well as the development of bidding documents and an overall project implementation plan. Importantly, the feasibility study will be financed through grant funds with no state budget outlays.

The data center will become a key element of the country's digital ecosystem, providing modern infrastructure for data storage and processing, which also opens up new opportunities for private investors in the energy and technology sectors.
