Dariga Tlendiyeva, wife of composer Nurgisa Tlendiyev, dies aged 79
Kazakhstan’s honored artist, actress and composer Dariga Tlendiyeva has passed away at the age of 79, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
The Zhambyl Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic broke the news of the passing of the artist in a statement, expressing condolences to the family members and close ones of late Dariga Tlendiyeva.
Born in 1946 in Almaty region, Dariga Tlendiyeva graduated from the two-year courses at Kazakhfilm film studio and the Abai Kazakh Pedagogical Institute.
First starring in Kulager film by Kazakhfilm, she later played different roles in films such as Belaya machina, Shestiletniy Alpamys and so on.
From 1993 to 2010, Dariga Tlendiyeva worked as the master of ceremonies at the Nurgisa Tlendiyev Academic Folklore Ethnographic Orchestra.
Dariga Tlendiyeva also authored many songs and kuis, including Kairan menin Nurekem, Karatalym, Makhambet baba and others.
