D. Akhmetov ordered to develop plan on medical tourism in EKazkahstan region in 4 months
UST-KAMENOGORSK - Head of the department for tourism and internal relations of East Kazakhstan region Yerzhan Sembinov reported on the process of development of the road map on development of tourism in East Kazakhstan region within the implementation of the concept of the tourism sector of Kazakhstan till 2020 at the sitting of the regional administration.
Governor of East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov ordered to develop a plan on development of medical tourism in the region in four months. The main emphasis should be made on Semey city where a lot of medical institutions with modern equipment are functioning. It is also planned to build a haematological center in the city.
"You have to develop a plan with involvement of foreign experts in four months. The plan has to include step-by-step implementation mechanisms," D. Akhmetov said addressing head of the department for tourism and internal relations of East Kazakhstan region Yerzhan Sembinov and head of the healthcare department of the region Vadim Ovsyannikov.
Presently, seven priority directions for development of tourism are defined in the East Kazakhstan region now. These are ecological, health-related, cultural, water, walking, rural and mountain skiing.
