Czechia to help Kazakhstan bring Przewalski's horses back to the country
The Czech Republic intends to establish cooperation with Kazakhstan in the production of essential primary goods for supply chains, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský said following the talks with Deputy Prime Minister - Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Cooperation between two states in spheres such as energy, engineering, and agriculture is rapidly developing. We have definite results we may share with. Such companies as Skoda and Total Eng have been working in Kazakhstan for a long time. We also see huge potential in the development of cooperation in subsoil development and production of critically important raw materials, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský said.
He also highlighted the successful beginning of the project aimed at the restoration of Przewalski's horses in Kazakhstan. He expressed hope this species will become popular in Kazakhstan. The first seven horses were sent from Prague to Kazakhstan this July. 30-40 more will be sent next year to help Kazakhstan bring Przewalski's horses back to the country.
The Foreign Minister also noted bilateral scientific ties. He said the countries plan to establish a joint research institute in Astana.
