Czech Ambassador to Kazakhstan met with education and tourism industry reps

SHYMKENT. May 19. KAZINFORM /Tatyana Pylayeva/ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Kazakhstan Bedrich Kopecky met with businessmen working in the sphere of tourism and education today in Shymkent.

The sides discussed the issues of development of cooperation in these spheres. B.Kopecky noted that the higher education in educational institutions of Czech Republic was of great interest for students worldwide. 'More and more students from Kazakhstan come to the Czech Republic to study,' he said.

The diplomat also answered a few questions regarding the changes of the legislation of the Czech Republic. 'The visa regime has been changed for those who come to the country including educational purposes. The term of the educational visa has been reduced,' the Ambassador said.

The businessmen of Shymkent noted that the tourism interests are mutual. 'We are interested in development of mutual tourism between our countries. The people from Europe are interested in our historic places and we have many beautiful, historic places indeed,' director of the Tourist Company 'Komek Tour' Larissa Semenova said emphasizing that the infrastructure near historic places was developing in good pace.
