CU countries to strive for simplification of technical regulation system - Shukeyev

MOSCOW. March 25. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ The Customs Union's countries consider it necessary to seek joint solutions in development of common rules of technical regulation. First Vice PM of Kazakhstan Umirzak Shukeyev has said it at the International conference entitled Technical regulation 2012. Instruments of formation of Single Economic Space in Moscow today.

According to Shukeyev, technical regulation is an integral part of the state system of economy in particular in formation of the Customs Union. To date the parties find it necessary to seek joint solutions for development of common rules of technical regulation.

"The major purposes of technical regulation are raising competitiveness of goods and implementing innovations, removing barriers among our countries in order to provide free movement of our goods as well as protection of the market from low-quality products from the third countries. In the course of our joint work we will strive for simplification of the system of technical regulation and ensuring security of our domestic markets", Shukeyev noted.

As he stressed, these issues will be actively discussed by Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus. Similar conferences are planned to be held in Almaty and Minsk soon.
